“My approach to therapy empowers you to look deeply within at your beliefs, your motivations, and your values.”

Therapeutic Approach

In our lives, we experience cycles of change constantly. Sometimes the changes are subtle and go unnoticed; sometimes they completely flip our world upside down in one fell swoop. In these moments, it can be overwhelming trying to piece together how to move forward – even more so when we feel disconnected from ourselves, whether due to years of trauma, or from going with the flow of our responsibilities and who we thought we “should be”.

My approach to therapy empowers you to look deeply within, clarifying – and sometimes updating – your beliefs, your motivations, and your values. In big and small ways, we are influenced by how we engage with these inner mechanisms. Through compassion, curiosity, and respect, it is my goal to help you uncover what matters most, get the guidance and support you need to put it into action, and enjoy both the process and the results.

There are many theories and tools I gravitate toward to accomplish this mission, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Narrative Therapy, but there is no “one size fits all” approach. No matter the modality, the collaboration that occurs within therapy is most important, and can transform painful or negative cycles toward achieving the goals nearest to your heart. I look forward to being part of your journey.

Clinical Focus

I work with individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan. I have extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, parents, and individual adults in overcoming anxiety, depression, addictions, social challenges, and low motivation. I also love working with couples to deepen their bond and learn new ways of communicating that build closeness, security, and vitality. I am in-network with Aetna and Optum / UnitedHealthcare and can accept other insurances on an out-of-network basis.
